Astilbe arendsii 'Fanal' foliage emerges bronze and turns to dark green in the Summer. Fanal blooms, dark red on upright plumes early Summer. Requires consistent moisture and prefers rich, well drained soil. Best to cut Astilbe back in the early Spring.
