The 8 gauge monofilament wire is used to strengthen our extra strength poly deer fencing as well as keep the plastic deer fence from sagging between posts. The 8 gauge wire is ultra violet (UV) stabilized to prevent breakdown caused by the sun and weather. The breaking load is approximately 1200 pounds. If you have or are ordering our standard perimeter deer fencing, we recommend using our 12 gauge monofilament wire. We recommend installing a run of this 8 ga monofilament wire at the top and bottom of the deer fence for best results. The monofilament wire should be crimped using our connection sleeves at each corner or end system. Use our round monofilament tighteners and tools to achieve your desired tension. This is for a roll of 1666 feet of 8 gauge monofilament wire.
Plants will be shipped semi-bare-root (with little soil) from December to April. As the plants are dormant (sleeping), it is perfectly safe to send them bare-root. Winter is the safest and the best time to ship plants.
Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.
