Purple Dawn Camellia

The Purple Dawn Camellia is prized for its large, 5 inch diameter formal double flowers with deep pink petals that appear as though they've been airbrushed purple around the edges. The flower buds begin opening in late winter and continue well in to spring. For those who love bold and uniquely beautiful flowers, Purple Dawn is a must have for the garden.

• Hardy in Zones : 7 to 9
• Mature size is 10 ft tall/ Up to 8 ft wide
  
• Specialty - Beautiful dark purplish-red with a purplish tinge to the outer edges of the petals. Large formal double blooms to 5 inches across. Blooms winter to early spring.

Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
