    Plant Care Tips

🌸 Planting & Care for Little Lime Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata ‘Little Lime’) 🌿✨

    🌱 Planting

Select a location that receives full sun to partial shade — ideally 6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day — and has well-drained, fertile soil. If planting in a container, make sure it has proper drainage holes.

Dig a hole twice as wide and just as deep as the root ball. Gently place the plant so the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil. Backfill with garden soil, water deeply, and apply a layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature.

    💧 Watering

Check soil moisture 2–3 inches below the surface. If it feels dry, give your hydrangea a deep watering. During the first few weeks after planting, water once or twice a week to help establish strong roots. Once established, adjust watering frequency based on weather conditions to maintain evenly moist soil without overwatering.

    ☀️ Sunlight & Air Circulation

Little Lime Hydrangea thrives in full sun to partial shade. Provide good air circulation around the plant to prevent fungal issues and ensure healthy growth.

    🌿 Fertilizing

Feed your hydrangea with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer (such as 10-10-10) in early spring and again in mid-summer to encourage lush growth and abundant blooms. Always follow label directions for dosage and application.

    ✂️ Pruning

Prune annually in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Since Little Lime Hydrangea blooms on new wood, pruning promotes vigorous flowering and helps maintain its compact, rounded shape. Remove any dead, damaged, or weak stems as needed.

    🌸 Additional Care Tips

    • Keep mulch around the base to conserve moisture and protect roots from temperature fluctuations.

    • Protect young plants from extreme cold using mulch or a garden blanket.

    • Remove spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering and keep the shrub looking tidy.
