Description

20th Century Asian Pear Tree

Pyrus pyrifolia '20th Century' (Nijisseiki) is one of the most popular Asian pear varieties worldwide, prized for its round, golden-yellow fruit with crisp, juicy flesh and a refreshingly sweet flavor. Unlike European pears, Asian pears are harvested firm and enjoyed like an apple, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite.

Very pleased one year in!

I planted my pear last spring. It came in at a substantial size and with healthy leaves (I got the 5 gal pot). It did mostly 'sleep' is first year - some deer damage didn't help - but this spring with netting it has been growing vigorously upward and has already gained 2 feet by June!
