    Plant Care Tips

    🌱 Planting

Choose a sunny location with well-drained, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and place the tree at the same depth as in the nursery pot. Backfill gently, water thoroughly, and apply mulch around the base—keeping it slightly away from the trunk to maintain airflow.

    💧 Watering

Keep the soil consistently moist during the first growing season to help establish deep roots. Once mature, water deeply when the topsoil feels dry. Avoid waterlogging, but do not allow long dry spells during fruit development.

    🌸 Fertilizing

Feed in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer to promote strong growth and better fruiting. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers, as they encourage foliage instead of fruit.

    🍂 Mulching

Apply a 2–3 inch layer of mulch to conserve moisture, regulate soil temperature, and reduce weeds. Compost, shredded bark, or leaf mulch work well. Keep mulch a few inches away from the trunk to prevent rot.

    ✂️ Pruning

Prune in late winter before new growth starts. Remove crossing, damaged, or weak branches and open the canopy to improve airflow and sunlight—this boosts fruit size and helps prevent disease.

    ☀️ Light Requirements

Thrives best in full sun, needing at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily for sweet, fully developed fruit.
