Plant Care Tips

🌱 Planting

Choose a sunny to partially shaded spot with moist, well-drained soil.
Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and set the tree at the same depth as the container.
Backfill gently, water thoroughly, and apply mulch around the base — keeping it slightly away from the trunk.

💧 Watering

Keep the soil consistently moist during the first growing season to help the tree establish deep roots.
Once mature, the Bald Cypress tolerates both wet and dry conditions, but water deeply during long dry spells
for best growth.

🌸 Fertilizing

Feed lightly in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer to support strong growth.
Bald Cypress trees are not heavy feeders, so avoid over-fertilizing.

🍂 Mulching

Apply a 2–3 inch mulch layer to conserve moisture, keep roots cool, and suppress weeds.
Maintain a small gap around the trunk to prevent rot and improve airflow.

✂️ Pruning

Prune in late winter to remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches.
Minimal pruning is needed — shaping is optional since Bald Cypress naturally forms a beautiful, upright structure.

☀️ Light Requirements

Thrives in full sun for best growth and foliage quality.
Can tolerate partial shade but grows fastest and fullest in sunny conditions.
