    Plant Care Tips

🌿 Planting & Care – Ceratostigma plumbaginoides (Plumbago)

    🌱 Planting

It is important to choose a site with full to partial sun and well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, set the crown at soil level, backfill, and water thoroughly. Space plants 12–18 inches apart for dense coverage.

    💧 Watering

During the first season of planting, the roots should be regularly watered. Water only occasionally when the Plumbago groundcover is established, as it is drought-tolerant.

    ☀️ Sunlight

Prefers full sun to part shade. It is beneficial to have some afternoon shade in hotter climates to prevent stress.

    🌸 Fertilizer

Spring is the best time to apply compost or a balanced fertilizer to encourage strong growth and abundant blooming.

    ✂️ Pruning & maintenance

Cut back old stems in late winter or early spring to refresh growth. This low maintenance ornamental groundcover spreads steadily and benefits from light trimming to keep neat.
