The plant arrived safely, very well packed to survive the extreme heat. I immediately drenched the roots in cool water, planted it in a pot and kept indoors to prevent further shock. Imagine my chagrin when I saw my plant covered with spider mites! I moved it away from my other plants and sprayed it with neem oil. I also sprayed it with soapy water. I no longer see spider mites or their webs. So I have my fingers crossed that my edgeworthia will survive the infestation. I will not plant it outside until the fall when it is cooler. To be honest I did not expect it to arrive in the middle of summer. But I will baby it. The plant looks strong even though it lost all its leaves and I am sure the roots are okay. If you have any advice I would appreciate it!

When we opened the shipping box, we were most impressed by the care taken to protect our paperbush and oakleaf hydrangea. The plants looked as if they had been hand-delivered!!! They weren’t even wilted! We are eager to get these jewels planted!
