    Plant Care Tips

    🌱 Planting

Select a location with partial to full shade and soil that is moist yet well-drained. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, set the crown level with the soil surface, backfill gently, and water well. Space Lady Ferns 18–24 inches apart to allow room for their clumping growth. Incorporating compost or organic matter enhances soil quality and helps retain moisture.

    💧 Watering

Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during the first growing season while the roots establish. Lady Ferns prefer evenly damp soil but should not be left in standing water. After establishment, they tolerate moderate drought but thrive with consistent watering in dry periods.

    🌥️ Sunlight

This shade-loving perennial thrives in partial to full shade, though it can tolerate filtered morning sunlight. Avoid harsh afternoon sun, which can scorch delicate fronds and reduce vigor.

    🌸 Fertilizer

Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer or compost in spring to support healthy frond development. Avoid over-fertilizing, as excessive nutrients may weaken growth. A thin layer of organic mulch helps conserve soil moisture and keep roots cool.

    ✂️ Pruning & Maintenance

Cut back damaged or old fronds in late fall or early spring to promote new, vigorous growth. During the growing season, remove any browning fronds to maintain a neat appearance. Lady Ferns are low-maintenance, deer-resistant, and return reliably year after year with lush foliage.
