Plant Care Tips

🌱 Planting Instructions

Plant gold raspberries in well-drained soil that is well aerated. Create a large hole so that the roots can spread comfortably. The plant should be planted at soil level, backed in gently, and watered thoroughly after planting.

💧 Watering Tips

Make sure you water your plants regularly during the first growing season to help them establish roots. Maintain an even moisture level in the soil without letting it become soggy. When raspberry fruits are developing, mature plants prefer consistent moisture.

☀️ Sunlight Needs

A good rule of thumb is to expose yourself to direct sunlight for 6 to 8 hours per day. Golden berries are sweeter when grown in full sun. Strong canes ensure healthy growth.

🌸 Fertilizing Tips

Early spring is the best time to apply a balanced fertilizer to support new growth and fruit production. It is best to avoid heavy feedings late in the season to protect freshly grown canes.

✂️ Pruning Guide

It is critical to prune spent canes after harvesting to encourage new growth. A weak or damaged cane should be removed to improve the air circulation and maintain the health of the plant.

❄️ Winter Care

There is no doubt that gold raspberries thrive in cold climates. If you live in a colder area, mulch the base of the plants in the winter to protect their roots.
