Plant Care Tips

🌿 Planting

Choose a sunny spot with loose, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, set the plant at the same depth as the pot, backfill gently, and water well. Add mulch around the base to keep soil moisture steady 🌱🍇.

💧 Watering

Keep the soil evenly moist during the first season to help roots establish. Once grown, water deeply whenever the top inch of soil feels dry. Good moisture improves berry size, flavor, and yield 💧🌿.

🌸 Fertilizing

Feed in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer for fruiting plants. A light midsummer feeding can support fall berries. Avoid excess nitrogen to prevent leafy growth over fruit 🌸✨.

🍂 Mulching

Apply a 2–3 inch layer of mulch such as straw, bark, or wood chips to keep soil cool, reduce weeds, and hold moisture. Keep mulch a few inches away from the canes to prevent rot 🍁🌱.

✂️ Pruning

Prune Heritage raspberries in late winter or early spring. Remove dead or weak canes and thin crowded areas for airflow. For a single large fall crop, cut all canes to the ground after harvest 🌿✂️.

☀️ Sunlight Needs

Place the plant in full sun, receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. More sunlight results in sweeter berries and stronger growth ☀️🍇.
