    Plant Care Tips

    🌱 Planting Instructions

Pick a well-drained location with plenty of sunshine. Put the plant in a hole twice as wide as the root ball, place the plant at soil level, backfill gently, and water thoroughly. Ensure a sturdy support structure is in place at the time of planting, as hop vines grow vigorously.

    💧 Watering Tips

The first growing season is crucial for establishing deep roots. Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist but never soggy. Once established, hop plants prefer consistent moisture but cannot tolerate standing water.

    ☀️ Sunlight Requirement

Full sun is essential for healthy growth and strong cone production. Provide at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily to support vigorous vine development.

    🌸 Fertilizer Tips

Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring and again in early summer to support growth. Avoid excessive nitrogen late in the season, as it can reduce cone quality and delay dormancy.

    ✂️ Pruning Guide

Cut hop vines back to ground level in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. During the growing season, regular pruning improves airflow and encourages strong, productive shoots.

    ❄️ Seasonal & Winter Care

Protect the roots by applying mulch around the base of the plant in winter. Hop plants go dormant during cold months and will regrow vigorously in spring.
