Katherine Havemeyer Lilac is a classic, heirloom variety of Syringa vulgaris known for its stunning two-toned blooms. The flower clusters (panicles) are large, dense, and packed with double, star-shaped blossoms. Buds start as a rich deep lavender-purple, opening into a softer pale lilac or lavender-pink shade, creating a beautiful gradient effect on each panicle.
