    Plant Care Tips

🌸 How to Plant, Grow & Care for a Lady Stanley Althea Double Pink Rose of Sharon Tree

Add romance, charm, and soft garden color with the Lady Stanley Althea Tree, also known as Double Pink Althea Hibiscus Syriacus ‘Lady Stanley’. This beautiful pink flowering tree produces elegant double blooms with layered petals that appear from midsummer into early fall. The gentle pink shade pairs beautifully with green foliage, creating a soft, welcoming statement in any landscape.

Whether you are looking to enhance your garden border, brighten a front walkway, or create a floral accent tree, the Lady Stanley Hibiscus Tree brings effortless beauty and long-lasting bloom power with very minimal care.

    🌿 Planting Instructions

Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball and place the Lady Stanley Althea Double Pink so the crown is level with the ground. Fill the hole back in, gently firm the soil, and water well to settle the roots.
Finish by applying 2-3 inches of mulch to help retain moisture and protect the root zone.

🪴 Pro Tip: Full sun = more blooms. The pink rose of sharon tree produces its richest color and heaviest flowering in bright, direct sunlight.

    💧 Watering Tips

Water deeply 1-2 times per week during the first growing season. Allow the soil surface to dry slightly between waterings. Once established, the Lady Stanley Hibiscus Tree becomes drought-tolerant, needing only periodic watering during hot, dry weather.

Consistent watering in summer helps encourage bigger and longer-lasting blooms.

    ☀️ Sunlight Requirements

Plant in full sun, meaning 6+ hours of direct sunlight daily. Sun exposure enhances the soft pink color and encourages heavy flower production.
Partial shade is tolerated, but too much shade may reduce blooms.

    🌾 Fertilization Tips

Feed in early spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer, or mix compost around the base to enrich soil naturally. Over-fertilizing can produce more leaves than flowers, so keep feeding moderate and well-timed.

Organic matter + spring feeding = strong growth and abundant flowers.

    ✂️ Pruning Guide

Prune late winter to early spring before new leaf growth begins.
Remove broken or crowded branches to open up airflow and help maintain a beautiful shape.

The Lady Stanley Althea blooms on new wood, so light pruning will help produce fuller, more floriferous growth each season.

    ❄️ Winter Care

Hardy in USDA Zones 5-9, this Double Pink Althea handles cold winters well.
Add 3-4 inches of mulch in late fall to insulate the roots. Avoid pruning in late fall - wait until spring for best results.

The tree will return each year with fresh growth and a new flush of blooms.
