    Plant Care Tips

    🌿 Nantucket Viburnum Care Guide

    🌱 Planting Instructions

Choose a site with full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide and twice as deep as the root ball. Position the shrub so the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding ground. Backfill with loosened soil, pressing gently to remove air pockets. Apply a deep layer of mulch around the base, keeping it a few inches away from the stem to prevent rot

    💧 Watering Tips

During the first growing season, water thoroughly once or twice per week to establish strong roots. Once mature, water when the top few inches of soil become dry, increasing frequency during extended dry periods. For container-grown plants, monitor drainage carefully to prevent waterlogged roots.

    ☀️ Sunlight Needs

This shrub thrives in full sun to partial shade. Provide 4–6 hours of direct sunlight daily for the best flowering and vibrant fall color. While partial shade is tolerated, reduced sunlight may limit bloom production.

    🌿 Fertilizer Tips

Feed in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer formulated for landscape shrubs. Avoid fertilizing late in the growing season, as tender new growth may be damaged by frost.

    ✂️ Pruning Guide

Prune immediately after flowering in late spring to maintain shape and encourage airflow. Remove dead or weak branches and thin crowded areas to improve light penetration and reduce disease risk. Light annual pruning helps keep the shrub tidy and vigorous.

    ❄️ Winter Care

Hardy in USDA Zones 6–9, Nantucket Viburnum tolerates cold winters well. During the first winter after planting, apply an extra layer of mulch to insulate the roots. In harsh or exposed locations, provide wind protection to prevent winter burn on young branches
