    Plant Care Tips

    🌿 Planting & Care

    Planting

Grow Royal Fern in moist, rich soil with good drainage. It prefers partial to full shade and performs well near ponds or in shaded garden beds. Space plants about 2–3 feet apart to allow proper growth and air circulation.

    Watering

Keep the soil consistently moist. Water during dry spells and apply mulch around the base to help retain moisture.

    Sunlight

Thrives in shade or filtered light. Avoid harsh direct sun, which may scorch the fronds.

    Fertilizer

Apply compost or a balanced fertilizer in spring to encourage strong, healthy frond development.

    Maintenance

Cut back old fronds in late winter before new growth begins. Divide clumps every few years to maintain vigor. Royal Fern is hardy and deer resistant, requiring very little care once established.
