Plant Care Tips

🍐 Planting Instructions – Pineapple Pear Tree

Plant your Pineapple Pear Tree in well-drained soil and a location that receives full sunlight. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and no deeper than its original growing depth. Position the tree so it sits at the same level it was previously grown. Backfill with soil, gently firm around the roots, and water thoroughly to help settle the soil.

💧 Watering Tips

Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish strong roots. Once established, continue watering during dry periods, especially while fruit is developing. Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid overwatering.

☀️ Sunlight Needs

This tree requires 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily for healthy growth and high-quality fruit production. Full sun encourages better flowering and sweeter pears.

🌿 Fertilizing Tips

Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring to promote new growth and fruit development. Avoid overfeeding, as excessive fertilizer can lead to excessive foliage growth at the expense of fruit production.

✂️ Pruning Guide

Prune in late winter while the tree is dormant. Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches to improve airflow and encourage better fruiting. Proper pruning helps maintain shape and overall tree health.

❄️ Winter Care

Pineapple Pear Trees are cold-hardy within their recommended growing zones. Apply a layer of mulch around the base in winter to protect the roots from temperature fluctuations.
