Description

Pink Kousa Dogwood

Pink Kousa Dogwood (Cornus kousa ‘Satomi’ or similar cultivars) is a captivating small tree offering elegant layers of deep pink to rose-colored bracts in late spring to early summer. Unlike native dogwoods that bloom earlier, the Kousa Dogwood blooms after the leaves emerge, adding a splash of color just when many trees begin to settle into their green canopy phase.

Its exfoliating bark and wine-red berries in summer add additional interest, while fall foliage transitions to a stunning crimson-purple. Highly resistant to dogwood anthracnose and other diseases, it thrives in urban gardens and structured landscapes alike.

  • 🌸 Star-shaped pink blooms in early summer
  • 🍁 Brilliant fall color with peeling ornamental bark
  • 🛡️ Disease-resistant and low-maintenance
  • 🍓 Produces edible red fruit in late summer

Note: Best performance in full sun to partial shade with well-draining, slightly acidic soil.

This doesn't look like a dogwood at all. I would call it a clematis. Don't buy if you are expecting a dogwood.
