Plant Care Tips

Russian Pomegranate Tree Care Guide

Planting:

Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, plant at the same depth, and backfill with soil. Water thoroughly after planting and apply mulch to conserve moisture and prevent weeds.

Watering:

It is recommended that you water deeply once or twice a week until the plants are established. Once mature, the Russian Pomegranate Tree becomes drought-tolerant and needs less frequent watering.

Fertilizing:

Feed in early spring with a balanced fertilizer to encourage new growth and fruit production. Avoid over-fertilizing, which can reduce fruit yield.

Pruning:

Prune in late winter to shape the tree and remove dead or crowded branches. The airflow will be boosted and the quality of the fruit will be improved.

Cold Protection:

In colder zones (6–7), mulch around the base in winter and wrap young trees with frost cloth if extreme cold is expected.
