    Plant Care Tips

    Salavatski's Pomegranate Tree Care Guide

    🌞 Planting:

Choose a full-sun location with well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, and plant your Salavatski Pomegranate Tree in it at the same depth as its root ball. Backfill the hole, water thoroughly, and apply mulch around the base to retain soil moisture and control weeds.

    💧 Watering:

Water deeply once or twice a week during the first growing season to establish strong roots. Once mature, the Salavatski Pomegranate Tree becomes drought-tolerant and needs only occasional watering, especially during dry or hot periods.

    🌱 Fertilizing:

Apply a balanced, all-purpose fertilizer in early spring to promote healthy foliage, blooms, and fruit development. Avoid over-fertilizing, as this may reduce flowering and lower fruit yield.

    ✂️ Pruning:

Prune in late winter or early spring to shape the tree and remove dead, damaged, or crossed branches. Pruning your tree increases air circulation, produces new growth, and greatly improves the quality of your fruit. Avoid heavy pruning during the fruiting season.

    ❄️ Cold Protection:

In USDA Zones 6–7, protect your tree in winter by applying a thick layer of mulch around the base. For young trees, use a frostuse a frost cloth or wrap around the trunk if extreme cold is expected. Salavatski is known for its cold-hardiness, but young plants benefit from extra care in freezing temperatures.
