Plant Care Tips

🌿 Sikes Dwarf Oakleaf Hydrangea Care Guide

🌱 Planting

Choose a location with partial shade to full sun and well-drained, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, place the Sikes Dwarf Oakleaf Hydrangea carefully, and backfill with soil. Water deeply after planting and apply a layer of mulch to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature.

💧 Watering

Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Check for moisture about 2 inches below the surface—if it feels dry, water deeply. Water 1–2 times per week, increasing during hot or dry periods to prevent stress.

🌸 Fertilizing

Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to promote healthy growth and lush blooms. Avoid excessive nitrogen, as it can lead to more foliage and fewer flowers.

✂️ Pruning

Light pruning after flowering helps maintain its compact shape and remove weak or dead branches. Since Sikes Dwarf Oakleaf Hydrangea blooms on old wood, avoid heavy pruning in late winter or early spring to ensure abundant flowers.

🌷 Additional Care Tips

✅ Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases.

✅ Apply a layer of mulch in winter to protect roots from extreme cold.

✅ Deadhead spent blooms to keep the plant tidy and encourage new growth.

Follow these simple care steps, and your Sikes Dwarf Oakleaf Hydrangea will reward you with elegant white blooms, rich green foliage, and stunning fall color every year!
