    Plant Care Tips

    🌱 Planting Instructions

Texas Everbearing Fig Trees thrive in warm, well-drained soil and full sun. Plant the tree so the roots are level with the soil, gently pressing the soil to remove air pockets. Avoid placing mulch directly against the trunk after planting.

    💧 Watering Tips

During the first growing season, water your Texas Everbearing Fig Tree deeply twice per week. For container-grown trees, regularly check soil moisture and water the topsoil when it feels dry. Consistent watering helps maintain healthy fruit development.

    ☀️ Sunlight Needs

Provide 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily to encourage strong growth and generous fruit production. Trees planted in shaded areas may produce fewer figs.

    🌸 Fertilizing Tips

Fertilize in early spring to promote lush foliage and sweet fruit. Avoid fertilizing late in the season, as this can increase the risk of cold damage. Proper feeding is essential for healthy Texas Everbearing Fig Trees.

    ✂️ Pruning Guide

Prune in late winter or early spring. Remove dead, weak, or crossing branches to improve airflow and strengthen the tree’s structure. Regular pruning keeps the tree tidy and supports better fruit production.

    ❄️ Winter Care

Texas Everbearing Fig Trees are hardy in USDA Zones 7–10. Container-grown trees should be moved to a sheltered location during winter to protect against frost. Proper winter care ensures long-term health and productivity.
