    Plant Care Tips

    🌱 Planting

Choose a sunny spot for your Whitney Crabapple tree, as full sun ensures better flowering and stronger fruit production. This hardy Whitney crabapple variety prefers well-drained soil but adapts to most garden conditions. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, set the tree at the same depth, and gently backfill. Water thoroughly to help the roots settle. Its compact Whitney crabapple tree size makes it perfect for small yards and home orchards. 🌿

    💧 Watering

During the first year, keep the soil evenly moist to support root growth. Once established, Whitney crabapple trees handle normal dry spells but benefit from deep watering during hot or dry months. Consistent moisture leads to better blooms and improves the taste of Whitney crabapples. 💧

    🌸 Fertilizing

Feed your crabapple Whitney tree in early spring using a slow-release, balanced fertilizer. This supports new leaf growth, strong buds, and plentiful fruit set. Avoid heavy feeding—this variety naturally maintains good vigor and steady performance with minimal fertilizer. 🌸

    🍂 Mulching

Apply a light 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture, reduce weeds, and protect the roots from heat.
Use materials like shredded bark, pine fines, or compost. Keep the mulch a few inches away from the trunk to prevent damage.
Mulching keeps your Whitney crabapples for sale looking healthy and vibrant throughout the year. 🍁

    ✂️ Pruning

Prune the dwarf Whitney crabapple tree lightly in late winter before new growth begins. Remove dead or crowded branches to maintain good airflow and encourage fuller shapes. Minimal pruning is needed, as the Whitney Crabapple naturally forms an attractive, rounded canopy with consistent flowering and fruiting. ✂️🌿
