Description
Campsis radicans, also known as Trumpet Creeper, is an aggressive, deciduous vine with twining and prostrate growth habits. It produces clusters of showy 3-inch red-orange trumpet-shaped flowers from June to September. Ideal for climbing arbors, trellises, and fences, it can also be used as a naturalized ground cover for erosion control — though its vigorous spread requires careful management.
The dark green, compound, odd-pinnate leaves grow up to 15 inches long and turn yellow in the fall. Trumpet Creeper can climb to heights of 30–40 feet.
