    Plant Care Tips

    🌱 Planting Instructions

Black Mission Fig Trees do best in full sun and fertile, well-draining soil.
When planting your Black Mission Fig Tree, cover the roots with loose soil and gently press down
to remove air pockets. After planting, keep mulch a few inches away from the trunk to prevent rot and
    promote proper airflow.

    💧 Watering Tips

Water your Mission Black Fig Tree twice weekly during the first growing season to help establish strong roots.
For potted fig fruit trees, water whenever the topsoil feels dry. Consistent moisture is essential
for producing healthy figs and encouraging vigorous growth.

    ☀️ Sunlight Needs

Provide your Black Mission Fig Tree with 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Full sun is key to producing
a plentiful harvest of sweet figs. In areas with limited sunlight, fruit production may be reduced.

    🌸 Fertilizing Tips

Fig trees benefit from feeding in early spring to support strong foliage and sweet fruit development.
Avoid fertilizing late in the season, as it may encourage tender new growth that can be damaged by cold.
Proper Black Mission Fig Tree care includes using a balanced fertilizer at the right time.

    ✂️ Pruning Guide

Prune Black Mission Fig Trees in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.
Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches to maintain good structure. Regular pruning helps
ensure your fig tree remains productive, healthy, and easy to manage.

    ❄️ Winter Care

The Black Mission Fig Tree grows well in several USDA zones. In colder regions, protect container-grown
fig trees by moving them indoors or insulating the pot. Proper winter care ensures your
Mission Black Fig Tree stays healthy and productive year after year.
