Description

Bruce plums are wine-red medium to large fruit that ripen in late May to June. They are sweet and semi-acidic and can be used for canning or in desserts. If you want to save some of your plums for later, stick them in the fridge and they will keep for 6-8 weeks. The Bruce Plum tree is a Japanese plum tree, and as such should be planted near other plum trees like the Methley in order to be pollinated and produce fruit.

  • Hardy in Zones : 5 to 9
  • Mature size is 15 to 20 ft tall/ 10 to 15 ft wide

Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
